Who are the Friends?

  • Friends of the Bruton Memorial Library is an incorporated non-profit organization that fosters fiscal and volunteer support for our library.

  • We believe that an excellent library with varied programs for adults and children is essential to our community.


What Friends Do

• Encourage all residents to utilize the resources of the library on a more frequent basis

• Assist with programs, newsletters, and other library tasks

• Raise supplemental funds to enhance the library such as: educational supplies, equipment, and program support

• Recruit new Friends!

How Friends Benefit

The greatest benefit is the satisfaction of playing an important role in helping our library acquire state-of-the-art components and materials. Additionally, Friends:

  • Receive periodic newsletters highlighting library and Friend's activities

  • Membership contributes to children’s and adult’s programming, the Summer Reading Clubs, and library improvements.
